Chef Anthony Jones

Chef Anthony Jones is an award-winning culinary talent who developed a love for cooking early, inspired by his fascination with original episodes of Iron Chef, as well as the nature and vibrant ingredients he grew up with. A Maryland native, Chef Anthony made his mark on the national stage by joining the ranks of elite chefs as a Chopped Champion on Food Network.

Formally trained at Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte, North Carolina, Chef Anthony has honed his skills in some of the country's most acclaimed kitchens, most notably as Executive Sous Chef at Marcus Samuelsson’s Red Rooster Overtown in Miami, where he was instrumental in earning the restaurant a Michelin Bib Gourmand. His work is deeply influenced by the vibrant fusion of African and Latin flavors he encountered during that time, which continues to inspire his creative approach to cuisine. Prior to his time in Florida, he refined his techniques in top-tier DMV-area establishments like BLT Steak, Birch & Barley, and The Sovereign.

Chef Jones’ talents have been recognized beyond the kitchen, with invitations to prestigious events such as the Worlds of Flavor in Napa Valley and the Diaspora Kitchen Tour in Cameroon, where he collaborated with renowned chefs like Mashama Bailey and BJ Dennis. His culinary vision is centered on crafting exceptional dining experiences that celebrate global influences while honoring his local roots.

When Chef Anthony is not crafting the latest dish as Executive Chef of Marcus DC, he enjoys outdoor activities and visiting his family in Maryland.
