Chef Nana Wilmot

Chef Nana Araba Wilmot is a trailblazing culinary talent whose journey began in her grandmother’s kitchen, where Ghanaian flavors and traditions sparked her love of cooking for others. From intimate dining experiences to high-profile kitchens, Chef Nana bridges West African heritage and French technique, crafting dishes that connect generations, cultures, and continents.

Formally trained at the Art Institute of Philadelphia, Chef Nana has since worked alongside numerous culinary luminaries, including Wolfgang Puck, Iron Chef Jose Garces, Stephen Starr, and Chef Daniel Rose at Le CouCou, where she was instrumental in earning both a James Beard Award and a Michelin Star.

Spanning Philadelphia, New York, and Accra, her work has been celebrated in numerous publications, including Bon Appetit, Forbes, Eater, and The New York Times. Most recently, Chef Nana was seen on Food Network’s Chopped and featured in the highly anticipated Alexander Smalls cookbook “The Contemporary African Kitchen.

As the Chef & Owner of Georgina’s Private Chef and Catering Co. and Curator of the Love That I Knead dinner series, Chef Nana celebrates the foodways of the African Diaspora, using food to explore her identity and help others “find their way back.”
